Reporting to the Head of Communications, this hands on role will help build and shape the communications strategies for all Hippodrome produced work. This will involve leading on the implementation and delivery of communications plans for Hippodrome led productions and co-productions (both on and off site), our wide-ranging Festivals programme of work, our Learning and Participatory work, Associate Artists activity as well as Visual Arts and front of house activities. The post-holder will also support the Head of Communications in advocacy work and provide support to Business Development, Fundraising, Hospitality and Events departments when required. Working closely with colleagues in the Communications, Marketing and Sales teams, the post holder will ensure that all messaging reaches the widest possible audience through print, broadcast, online media and social media engagement.
The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, adapting communication styles for different audiences, with an ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally, pitching stories to the media and creating and delivering impactful PR campaigns.
