Summer in Southside Volunteer Call-Out

This year, Birmingham Hippodrome’s FREE family outdoors festival goes intergalactic and explores the spectacle and wonders of outer space.

Celebrating 50 years since the first moon landings, the streets of Southside around the theatre will be transformed into a lunar landscape for a whole weekend packed with performances, installations and extra-terrestrial antics from a list of ‘out of this world’ acts.

We are on the lookout for a team of super volunteers to help during this year's Festival!

Responsibilities can include:
-    Providing a warm welcome to visitors, helping them find their way around the festival
-    Production runner, artist liaison, assisting the festival team on the ground
-    Promoting and handing out the programme and gathering feedback
Applicants must be available for the volunteer briefing on Thursday 11th July 6pm–8:30pm, and then for at least one shift between Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July.  Lunch, a t-shirt and travel expenses (up to the value of £4.20 a day) will be provided each day, and you will receive a certificate and reference from the Hippodrome.
